On Wed 3rd Sept 2014, I read from the newspapers that my former boss and the greatest P Ramlee of Sabah has died and buried on the previous day 2nd Sept.
Due to circumstances beyond my control, I was not able to pay the man my last respect. My heartfelt condolence to his two sons who are also my good friends.
And since I have nothing in this world myself, and without any practice, I simply picked up my ukulele and sang his song, which is a Christmas song the late Datuk MY sang in Radio Sabah during the British era.
Imagine, Sabah does practice 1 Malaysia concept since the British era because MY is a moslem who can compose and sing Christmas songs.
This song titled "Tadau do Krismas" was recorded as a duet with the famed MINI INUS at radio Sabah then and is still and evergreen until today.
The short rifts in between the verses was composed and played on the piano by the first music director of radio Sabah, who is the late Datuk Peter Pragas.
